SPEECH is the first and one of the most direct ways we connect with others. We are working to understand how infants learn to process speech and build communication skills.
We have two broad objectives:
IDENTIFYING the initial abilities and biases that shape how infants respond to speech
UNDERSTANDING how infant speech processing skills change as babies mature and engage in their social and linguistic world.
Our Research involves infants between 4 and 18 months of age with diverse language exposures (English, French, Bilingual, Multilingual). It is also reviewed and approved by McGill Research Ethics Board for Research on Human Subjects.
