Line of Inquiry: What facial expressions do parents use when communicating with their babies? What are infant's facial expressions when interacting with adults?

First, we are investigating if adults use specific facial expressions found by Chong et al (2003) during infant direct speech. Second, we are investigating if infants show specific facial expressions when interacting with their caregivers. Finally, we are using automated and manual analyses to identify facial expressions.
